NextGenMicrofluidics nominated for Houska Prize 2024

NextGenMicrofluidics has been nominated for the Houska Prize 2024 in the category “non-university research”. The award will be presented April 25th, 2024. With a total endowment of 750,000 euros, the Houska Prize is Austria’s largest private prize dedicated to applied research.

NGM presented on Austrian TV (German)

NextGenMicrofluidics was on TV last night. The report is in German and shows how Joanneum Research is working on corona mini-laboratories that can detect a virus infection within 25 minutes.

Live demonstration of SARS-CoV-2 antibody test

Dr. Max Sonnleitner, CEO of GENSPEED Biotech GmbH, a partner of JOANNEUM RESEARCH, presented the company’s COVID-19 test portfolio at the MATERIALS Institute and enabled 20 MATERIALS employees to perform a rapid antibody test for the new SARS-CoV-2 virus.
